كشفت مصادر بسجن المنصورة المركزي بعدن عن وجود العلامة حسين بن شعيب في زنزانة انفرادية داخل السجن وتمنع عليه الزيارة أو الاقتراب منه .
وأضافت المصادر أنه تم نقل بن شعيب مساء الخميس الى سجن المنصورة تحت حراسة امنية مشددة ، في حين لم توضح المصادر في اي مكان كان يتواجد بن شعيب منذ اعتقاله مساء الثلاثاء 19 فبراير .
واعتقل الشيخ بن شعيب مساء الثلاثاء من امام منزله بحي العريش بعدن بأوامر من محافظ عدن وحيد علي رشيد شملت إعتقاله و11 ناشطاً آخرين في عدن ، وعلى رأسهم السفير قاسم عسكر جبران امين عام مجلس الحراك بعدن .
,lوكانت كشفت النيابة العامة بعدن عن تلقيها أوامر من محافظ عدن الاصلاحي وحيد رشيد تقضي باعتقال 12 ناشطاً وقيادياً من الحراك الجنوبي السلمي .

وكشفت الوثيقة اتهامات وجهها محافظ عدن لنشطاء وقيادات الحراك الجنوبي المطلوبين قال فيها ” أنهم يدعو إلى ما اسماه ” الكفاح المسلح ” ” ، وهو الأمر الذي أوضحت بشأنه مصادر قيادية في الحراك بالقول : إن الكفاح المسلح الذي يتحدث عليه رشيد كشفه يوم فعالية الذكرى الأولى ليوم الكرامة الجنوبية الــ21/فبراير/2013م ، حينما اشرف بنفسه على تنفيذ المذبحة الدموية بحق المسالمين الجنوبيين ، ولو أنهم يدعون الكفاح المسلح لكان من الطبيعي الرد على مذبحة خور مكسر التي ارتكبتها مليشيات الإصلاح وقوات الأمن .
ونفذت مليشيات مدنية وقوات عسكرية عملية مداهمات لمنازل وغرف نوم عدد من ايناء الجنوب وقامت باعتقالهم وعلى رأسهم العلامة حسين بن شعيب ، والسفير قاسم عسكر جبران امين عام مجلس الحراك الجنوبي
